Coughing is an action the body takes to flee substances that are irritating the air passages. Coughs can be acute or chronic. Acute coughs begin suddenly and can be cure before 2-3 weeks. Normally, you can get acute coughs with a cold or flu. Chronic coughs are last longer than 2-3 weeks. Coughing may be used for psychological or social reasons, such as the coughing before giving a presentation.

Natural Cough Treatment
Mix 1-2 tsp of pure home made turmeric powder in warm milk and take it twice a day for coughs of a bacterial origin.
Cough natural treatment: boil 5 garlic cloves in 2 cups of water; take the cloves out and drink up the warm water.
Onion is very effective in the treatment of cough. The juice extracted from finely chopped onion helps in loosening the cough, and clears chest-congestion. Take 1-2 teaspoon of onion juice and add 1-2 teaspoon of honey into it. Keep this mixture aside for 5-6 hours, and then give a teaspoon of it to the patient at east two times in a day.
Black pepper has also very significant role in treating cough. It looses the mucous membrane and open chest congestion. Take 2-3 black pepper seeds and chew it. If patient find difficulty in chewing it because of its strong bitter taste, add 2-3 pepper seeds in a glass of milk. Another easy way of taking black pepper is with cumin seeds. Take both black pepper and cumin seeds in small amount and add 1/2 spoon of salt to it. Chew it slowly. It is very effective cough remedy.
Half cup of honey mixed with 4 tbs of vinegar helps. Take a small amount of it whenever you feel sensation
Mix half a teaspoon of tulsi juice with half a teaspoon of ginger juice. Add 1 teaspoon of honey. Take the above mixture 2-3 times a day. This is also useful Home Remedy for Cough
Blanch thyme leaves in water and cover your head with a towel and breathe the steam
Soak almonds overnight in water, peel, grind and add butter and sugar. Eating this 1 or 2 tsps many times a day will give the desired result.
